A tale as old as time. A young girl reads, runs, scrapes her knees and muddies her clothes, and then reads some more. She claims long, sturdy sticks and imagines herself a warrior, climbs trees high enough to pretend she rides dragons in the sky. She inhales books until the stories threaten to drown her, and so she spills them through her fingers onto the back of her school assignments. One more muddy girl with too many thoughts to keep to herself, now grown into one more spinner amongst the many.

A. H. Rinehart is a writer based in Denver, Colorado. She began writing her breakout fantasy novel, THE CUNNING BROOD OF LYNN, inside the driver’s hole of an M1A2 Abrams Battle Tank while a Polish rainstorm dripped through the hatch. Though the tanker’s life is behind her, its absence has only left more time for writing.

Between her job overseeing industrial firing kilns and writing her next projects, Rinehart proudly plays weekend warrior with the Colorado National Guard. She spends her free time with her partner, three cats, dwarf reticulated python, and two leopard geckoes.
